Accidents will happen

Actor 1: "You got your chocolate in my peanut butter."
Actor 2: "You got your peanut butter in my chocolate."
Both: "Mmmm."

So went the TV ads years ago for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. The idea was an accidental discovery of two great things that are made even better together.

I didn't know until I read this that both Blogger and Twitter were similar accidental discoveries. Viagra and the X-ray were stumbled upon too. Wired magazine put together this list of the top ten accidental discoveries.

The best ideas happen when your mind is open to look at things in creative ways and consider the possibilities.

Many advertisers, realizing the need to rise above the marketing din, are getting creative in their quest for our attention. Here are a few examples of some really creative outdoor ads.

404: Creativity found

We've all experienced it. The dreaded "Page Not Found" error message on a website. Often it means the address we have is incorrect or the content has been moved or removed. This is often referred to as a "404 error" indicating that the browser was able to communicate with the server but could not find what was requested.

Most of the time, the error message we receive is a standard one like this. Effective, but boring.
